Essity is providing hygiene and paper products to the American Swedish Historical Museum (ASHM) just in time for the Museum’s participation in the 2021 Philadelphia Horticultural Society (PHS) Flower Show at FDR Park.

The ASHM, also located in FDR Park, will open its doors to Flower Show attendees throughout the week long event taking place from June 5 through June 13. Essity’s donation will cover the hand hygiene and washroom needs of the expected 10,000 visitors per day to the museum during the show. It includes 65 cases of Essity’s Tork™ brand of bath tissue, paper towels, napkins and sanitizer, as well as 32 paper towel, napkin and sanitizer dispensers and stands.

“As a Swedish company, we are very excited to support the work the American Swedish Historical Museum is doing in their role supporting the 2021 Philadelphia Flower Show. This donation is made to help ensure safe hygiene and to honor our Swedish heritage,” says Don Lewis, President of Essity ‘s Professional Hygiene business.

Through its support of the American Swedish Historical Museum (ASHM), Essity proudly supports the 2021 PHS Philadelphia Flower Show, which is the nation’s largest and the world’s longest running horticultural event and features stunning displays by some of the world’s premier floral and landscape designers. The region’s most looked-to gardening attraction will move outdoors for the first time, making this a history-making experience that will incorporate the beautiful, unique landscape of FDR Park in Philadelphia.

According to Don Lewis, president of Essity Professional Hygiene, “Our long-standing partnership with the American Swedish Historical Museum, combined with the unique occasion of the PHS Philadelphia Flower Show taking place in FDR Park where the Museum is located, created a wonderful opportunity for Essity to show its support for two long-standing Philadelphia institutions by helping to ensure hand hygiene to visitors. Swedish contributions in the United States have been significant throughout history, and Essity and our employees continue this heritage through continued innovation, a strong commitment to sustainability, and giving back to our local communities in ways that benefit the well-being of others.”
