Students from nearby high schools and colleges joined us for tours, hands-on demonstrations, and conversations with our engineers, technicians, and site leaders. Together, we explored the variety of career paths available in manufacturing — from engineering and operations to logistics, quality, and leadership.
Our participating sites included:
- Bordentown, New Jersey – where we manufacture and distribute surface disinfecting, cleaning, and wiping products under the Everwipe by Tork® brand.
- Middletown, Ohio – which produces parent rolls of towel and tissue paper that support our converting facility in Harrodsburg, Kentucky.
- Bowling Green, Kentucky – home to our TENA® production lines, creating trusted personal hygiene products.
- Drummondville, Canada – where we produce personal care products including incontinence pads and briefs under the TENA® brand
“We’ve always been proud supporters of Manufacturing Day, but this year marks the first time we coordinated events across multiple sites,” said Jill Block, HR Director, Global Supply Chain North America. “It was incredible to see how many schools wanted to participate — and even more rewarding to see students light up as they discovered the career possibilities that exist in our field.”
The energy from the students made the day especially memorable.
“Their enthusiasm and curiosity were contagious,” shared Vanessa Aristigueta, Human Resources Generalist in Bordentown. “It was exciting to see them connect what they’re learning in school to real-world opportunities. There’s so much potential in these future professionals.”
We welcomed students from:
- Burlington County Institute of Technology (Bordentown)
- Carlisle High School (Middletown
- Western Kentucky University (Bowling Green)
- CFP Paul Rousseau (Drummondville)
At Essity, we believe manufacturing careers play a vital role in building strong economies and sustainable communities.
“Manufacturing Day reminds us how essential skilled trades are to our business and to the global economy,” added Block. “We’re proud to showcase the innovation, technology, and purpose that make this field so rewarding — and we plan to make this an annual event, expanding to even more sites next year.”
