About the Role
Essity is looking for an experienced Power Plant Boiler Operator to oversee the Powerplant operations in a safe and efficient manner including: water filtration systems and a natural gas boiler, while supporting our high standards of safety, housekeeping, quality, and productivity.
The ideal candidate should live in Middletown, Ohio.

What You Will Do
- Maintains, records and e-mails daily reports for power plant safety, environmental and boiler production
Maintains and publishes data entry reports on Capstone
Operates and makes rounds to check all PP and mill main feeder breakers, Air Compressors, P.P. PRV and Vent Valves
Monitors capstone trending of Boiler
Monitors and maintains RO system or softeners as needed
Regenerates all Zeolite filters as needed
Completes daily water, condensate and effluent testing and reports results
Completes environmental testing and recording for daily/ monthly NPDES requirements as needed
Makes appropriate chemical additions to boiler make-up water as needed
Monitors deep wells, completes rounds and collects and records data as needed
Who You Are
High School Diploma or GED
Must have active Ohio Boiler Operator’s License
Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
Experience working in an industrial environment preferred
Experience working with a gas boiler
Desire to work in a team based environment
Ability to safely perform tasks in a fast paced, heavy industrial environment
Ability to stand, reach, and twist in a heavy industrial environment and to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to climb ladders, walk distances, work at heights on platforms, work in tight or closed spaces
